I have recently become a contributing writer to “Pourquoi Pas?” Pourquoi Pas is “A group of people striving for justice & peace for humankind and respect for this planet and all its species.”

    “POURQUOI PAS MEANS WHY NOT”,

    Hey April sweetie, you never fail to bring a smile to my face, you know that?

    On the subject, since somone once asked me, please do not read anything deep and meaningful in the title.

    In fact, if’s quite a non-event thing. I’ve been cruising Usenet newsgroups for 15 years, and since pseudos are the norm there, I scratched my head for days chosing a nickname when I first joined that world.

    And it kind of went like this:

    How about [some dicky nickname]…. err …. no …. mmmm how about [another dicky nym]… yuck, no….. then again, why not, eh?…… so how about …. shit I’ve run out of ideas…. how about “Why Not?”.

    So that’s how WhyNot was born :-)

    When Dianne and I decided to get our multi-member blog going, I once again dreaded the idea of finding some smart name for it, and Dianne suggested why not (hahaha) call it Pourquoi Pas? That should be good enough to piss off the racist assholes.

    So there we are :-)
