Air France plane on fire in Toronto 2

An Air France jet carrying as many as 200 passengers skidded off the runway and caught on fire today at 3:50PM. I just checked the live Highway 401 traffic camera, and it looks like there is still a lot of smoke coming from the plane.

The news agencies haven’t said whether they were able to get the passengers off the plane yet, but I hope they did.

Thanks to this fiery plane, I couldn’t go to hockey tonight. I sat in the Jeep for an hour and a half and I was still only 15 Kilometers from downtown Toronto, so I had to turn around because I wouldn’t have made it in time. At least I got to enjoy a Wendy’s 1/2 pound double burger with cheese.

Holy shit, Jim – You’re alive. It’s been too long since you’ve last posted. 🙂

I suppose there would be a lot of rubber neckers along the 401 today to cause avoidably longer delays. Too bad about hockey…. good luck in the coming triathalon!
