RIP Superman

Superman star Christopher Reeve died on Sunday of heart failure at the young age of 52. In 1995 he had an accident while riding a horse that left him paralyzed. Since then, he has done great work for spinal cord research, and I had always hoped that one day he would walk again, as he had regained sensation in parts of his body, and in 2000, he was able to move his index finger.

I find the best way to remember someone is to remember something they said, so I’ll leave you with a quote from Christopher Reeve:

“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles”, Christopher Reeve, 1952-2004
