Jim Ralph the whiner

I sent an email to Jeff Marek the Director of Sports Programming on AM640 Toronto Radio. I was sick and tired of Jim Ralph’s complaining during Toronto Maple Leaf games.

Hi Jeff,

Something has bothered me for a couple years now about Jim Ralph. I had never felt it necessary to mention to anyone, but as I listen to the Leaf games on Mojo radio, it bothers me even more.

I cannot stand how every time there is a penalty he thinks there is some sort of conspiracy against Toronto, and he complains about most penalties they call against Toronto. Every game I’ve listened to he’s done this multiple times, and it just kinda gets on my nerves. Even during tonight’s game he admitted that the penalty should have been called against Toronto, but he complained that the ref didn’t call Ottawa as well because an Ottawa player hit a Toronto player when he didn’t have the puck. Earlier in tonight’s game he complained that they should have called both a Toronto player for tripping and the Ottawa player for diving. The ref only called the tripping call, so he complained that diving should have been called too.

It just irritates me. It might be entertaining for some people, but I really just think he complains too much instead of talking about the actual play.

Thanks for listening.

-Jim
